Why We Exist
In an era where AI-generated slop has drowned out the creative arts, we understood the dire urgency for a safe space where authentic human art could be shared, encouraged and yes indeed, simply exist as what it is; something real created by someone real. NewBohemia was birthed from that essential truth; that the flaws, passion and distinct experiences of human beings is what makes the greatness of art live up to it's name.
What We Believe
Every rhyme, every brushstroke, every punchline, every musical note that carries you to heaven; they all contain an imprint of the creator's soul that no A.I. can duplicate. Our religion is the communal power of mankind's creative genius, the happenstance beauty of a perfect mistake and the near-infinite value of a crude stick figure drawing made with love over a mechanized masterpiece mass-produced by cold, indifferent metal.
How Verification Works
Our state of the art verification system was carefully constructed to get our community as close to 100 percent human as realistically possible.
To get verified, you have two options.

Recent Artwork Sample:
Not only do we have extensive cybersecurity protection, but once verified, we delete your information from our database immediately. We only maintain a text-based name record. Your username and public profile can also, of course, be anonymous.
(Unfortunately because of the fact that any video, image, audio or text sample can now (or soon enough) be reliably faked, anything that was not published from a verifiable source pre-February 2022 is not eligible for consideration. The options are limited and realistically the only way to prove one's actual human talent, short of having a pre-gen-AI social media sample, is providing legitimate proof of personhood.)

About Me
I am the4realmcg, a New York-based musician and hip hop artist who has been channeling the muse, publicly speaking, since 2016. I spent a decade of my life collaborating with artists I'm quite in awe of and crafting works I'm very proud of. I ate, slept and breathed writing lyrics and making music like it was a one-man religion. To call it a hobby was an insult, and to even think of it as a passion was the ultimate understatement. However In February 2022, with the release of DALL-E, I saw the writing on the wall for how the anti-human obscenity called generative AI would change the landscape of all creative expression, music, art, literature, and plunged headfirst into a deep, dark almost fathomless depression. Borderline suicidal, really. Art was dead. My life's purpose? Poof. I became a phantom with a pulse. I stopped writing music. I stopped writing period. I felt as if I had given up everything and sacrificed a normal life to pursue Art, and this would be the thanks I'd get? This non-consensual obsolescence? I was inconsolable but only for a few long miserable years, thank goodness. Soon the tear-thick fog of grief lifted as a life-changing realization dawned upon me. While generative AI has its practical real world usage for non-creatives, most humans still want to either experience art from other humans, and most artists still want to create the art themselves. With this sacrosanct truth, I resolved to construct a sanctuary, a safe haven, a man-made oasis in the ocean of gen-AI garbage that flooded the information landscape that was once known as the internet. Thus, in honor of the historical equivalents it aspires to pay digital homage, I called this garden NewBohemia and now I welcome you all to it.
